Weddings
Let me create the best day of your life for you!
Your wedding day should be one of the most wonderful memories of your life. After all, it’s your day. I will give you ideas for your ceremony and samples to work from so you remember it as one that you and everyone else enjoyed.
There are an infinite number of ways to personalise your ceremony. My job is to facilitate the process of finding the ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple. We can do it with music, poetry or meaningful symbols such as the giving of a rose, lighting a candle, wine sharing, ribbon and hand fasting, sand or water rituals.
On booking with me I will organise a meeting. Together we will discuss:-
- Sure ways to make your wedding ceremony a success
- WeddingPlanner
- Sample vows and ceremonies
- Readings and poems
- Music
- Legal paperwork requirements
The Notice of Intended Marriage has to be returned to me one month and one day before your ceremony and can be submitted up to eighteen months prior to your set wedding date.
Commitment Ceremonies
Some couples choose not to marry but to publicly declare their love and commitment to each other with a beautiful and meaningful ceremony. Commitment Ceremonies allow couples to say they belong to each other and are in a loving relationship without the legalities of a wedding ceremony.
Same Sex Commitment Ceremonies
A same sex commitment ceremony is an opportunity for a couple who have a deep and long lasting relationship to celebrate that bond in front of family and friends.
Renewal of vows
This ceremony re-affirms the decision taken to be husband and wife. Since your wedding day many significant changes will have taken place. A ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to honour your partner, the journey you have shared and affirm the intention that it will continue. It is also a time to acknowledge and honour the involvement and support of children, relations and people in your lives. You might want to do it differently this time!
Baby Naming
What could be more special than a new baby?
Formally naming a new baby or celebrating the new arrival with a Name-Giving Ceremony is a wonderful way to acknowledge the newest member of your family. It is a happy occasion to gather family and friends together to welcome this new life who has come into your midst. Verses can be written and read by Guardians, Parents and Godparents and of course, involve, grandparents, family and friends. The planting of a tree, the naming of guardians, the lighting of a candle can all be parts of a unique ceremony we create for the gift of your new baby. Your input is very important and encouraged. A Naming Certificate is presented to the parents on the day.
Celebration of Life/Funeral Ceremonies
I am a professionally trained funeral celebrant who specialises in funeral, memorial services and scattering of ashes. These ceremonies are held in funeral homes, chapels, private homes and beautiful open spaces. I am happy to visit your home to assist you to create a very personal ceremony to remember your loved one. I will suggest sample rituals, music, poetry and readings to help with choices to farewell that special person.
